The conference will be held at the Institute of Catalan Studies (Institut d’Estudis Catalans, IEC), an academic institution for the advancement of Catalan science and culture with more than 100 years of history. Its main headquarters are located at the heart of Barcelona’s old town, in a 17th century building that was part of the former Santa Creu Hospital (Venue Map). On Thursday afternoon the session will be held at the Museu Blau, an spectacular building originally designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron for the 2004 Universal Forum of Cultures, but since 2010 it houses the exhibitions and other public activities of the Natural History Museum of Barcelona”
